"I was given some hope, and a
gift that I was able to love, hold and acknowledge. I would have not been
able to do all that if I had listened to the doctors and terminated the
pregnancy." |
I
would like to welcome ThereseAnn. I came across a site shortly after Kia was
diagnosed with Trisomy 13. It was an inspiration to me and it is one of the
very reasons that I did not listen to the doctors about terminating the
pregnancy.
I noticed that we had a new member here on Kia's site and when I went to one
of my email addresses I found that ThereseAnn had sent an email to me. It
was the very same person that I had found information on a site called "The
Healing Power of Prayer", her daughter had survived all odds of Trisomy 13.
I had posted a link on my links page about Natalia, ThereseAnn's daughter. I
remember feeling that I had found some hope for Kia, something no one else
had given me or would give me. I remember thinking, if there was one little
girl out there that was alive with Trisomy 13, why couldn't our Kia have
some kind of hope. I was given that hope when I saw Natalia and ThereseAnn's
story.

Although God decided Kia was better off in heaven with him, I was given some
hope, and a gift that I was able to love, hold and acknowledge. I would have
not been able to do all that if I had listened to the doctors and terminated
the pregnancy.
Thank you ThereseAnn for your story of Natalia. Had it not been for you, I
would not have had the hope I needed to carry on and understand what God's
plan for Kia was.
Hugs to Natalia, she is a true inspiration!
Love to you,
Lorie
